If You Forget, Please Remember

This poem was given to me by Vera Lopez on my 18th Birthday.

If you forget, please remember
there's someone in this world
who sometime in the past had cared and
had liked you very much.

If you forget, please remember
each little thing we said,
each little thing we did,
each little thing we gave.

For these things, right or wrong had
made our friendship strong and
for all the things you are and
for all the things you may be,
I care for you with all the care in me.

If you forget, please remember
I'll care all the way and
treasure our friendship
Until forever's gone.

If you forget, please remember
To remember me
even once in a while.
