Words of Truth

From Vera Lopez

I'll breathe this poem into the air
To let you know how glad I am
To find a friend, as great as you
Bearing with me all this time through.

In time gone by, I found myself
More uptune to you, dearest friend.
So come what may into this world,
I'll never change, hold on my word.

Forever more, you'll always be my cherished friend.
So keep me safe within your heart
Spare me the friendship -
I long have dreamt.

The smile I gave please remember
Keep them forever until you may
For it belongs to you alone
As true as the friendship I offered you

When I am gone or I am dead
Once in a while come to my grave
I want to glance at your angel face
To comfort me in my lonely place

These simple words are words of truth
Which carry on none evil mood
Mortals have ear, so let them hear.
These words of truth, I do not care.

My loneliness will fade away
Knowing we had been such good friends.
I pray, I hope that you'll believe
These words or truth...to you I give.

And then, my friend, you can be sure
I'll always stay this way for you.
Time is fast, let's make the most
Let's give our best now and forever more.

Oath of Friendship

Shang ya!
I want to be your friend
For ever and ever without break or decay
When the hills are all flat
And the rivers are dry
When it lightens and thunders in winter
When it rains and snows in summer
When heaven and earth mingle -
Not till then will i part from you

A Dream Within A Dream

by: Edgar Allan Poe

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream?

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
